Watsonia RSL Carpark

The existing carpark servicing the shopping precinct of Watsonia and the Watsonia RSL was at capacity. Evergreen Civil were engaged by Council to construct an extension to the existing carpark. As a park of the process, Evergreen Civil worked with Council on a redesign, saving 25% of the original cost for the project, all whilst managing to squeeze in an additional car space, a decent victory for the ratepayers.

The works themselves were out of the ordinary as they were directly underneath high voltage transmission lines. We were required to construct the project with smaller than desirable machinery, and under the scrutiny of the power authority. Further complicated was the fact that the construction was right in the heart of a wetter than usual winter.
