Were Street - Montmorency

Banyule Council engaged Evergreen Civil to construct a new multi-tiered rain garden as well as road work at Were St, Montmorency just in front of Montmorency Train Station.

The works included excavation for the raingarden as well as a precast concrete retaining wall system and custom made metalwork to form the body of the raingarden. This was filled with carefully sourced raingarden materials and planted with various species friendly for raingarden functionality. Also included in the works was a precast concrete bridge over the raingarden with custom made redgum balustrading.

The civil component of the works included slight pavement realignment as well as a raised pavement pedestrian crossing across Were St.
